Mallorca has a variety of beaches, including 158 sandy beaches, 13 pebbly beaches, 21 rocky beaches and 15 pebble beaches, with a total length of over 50 kilometers. Some are more suitable for families, others fall into the category of lonely and romantic Calas.

In the summer season of 2017, 60 beaches on the island were under the Blue Flag – the official award of the ‘Foundation for Environmental Education’ for water quality, environmental management, safety and service.
